Image
The Leprechauns' Christmas Gold. An Irish sailor named  Dinty Doyle  is stranded on an island full of  Leprechauns and soon  finds  himself aiding them in protecting their gold  from a greedy Hag  after he digs up the tree so that his ship can have a  Christmas tree.  He meets some leprechauns who explain to him that  banshees need to  get gold before Christmas or they die. The leprechauns  give him the gold  to hide, but, he's tricked by the banshee into giving her  the gold.  Now  he has to save the leprechauns from her and save  himself.   Dinty learns from Blarney that many years ago, the gold-mining  Kilakalarney clan of leprechauns lived peacefully with the shoe-making  O'Clogjigger clan. However, Mag the Hag, the banshee, desperate to steal  the leprechaun's Christmas gold lest she be literally reduced to tears  forever, drove a rift between Blarney and his wife (one of the  O'Clogjiggers) by tricking the leprechauns into think

The Legend of Frosty the Snowman. Frosty the Snowman goes where he is needed most, and the town of  Evergreen sure needs a visit. Mr. Tinkerton, the mayor, runs a tight ship,  and there's no room for talk of magic or any other such nonsense. But,  when Frosty the Snowman blows through town, he shows the town's  children that magic is real. Tickerton's sons, Charlie and Tommy, along  with their friends Sarah and Walter, want to spread the word about  Frosty's fun-loving, magical antics but meets resistance from Evergreen  Elementary's dastardly principal Hank Pankley. In the end, good wins  out, and all the citizens of Evergreen happily learn that magic is real and  fun is for everyone.  I hope you like it. Frosty's Winter Wonderland

Image
Frosty's Winter Wonderland. This Frosty movie was made back in 1976. Another movie done  by the legendary team of Arthur Rankin and Jules Bass. In this   Rankin/Bass classic we have Frosty returning to town cause he made a  promise to them that he would return one day and after he hears about  the first snowfall he heads back to them but he gets to feeling lonely so  the kids from town decide to made him a snow wife, named Crystal.  Jack Frost sees the children having fun with Frosty and get jealous, he  steals Frosty's magic hat but finds out later after he is far from town that  he stole the hat from one of the horses. Crystal comes to life after Frosty  presents her with a bouquet of frost flowers, they all celebrate but Jack  Frost returns and sees this and with a gust of wind he blows Frosty's hat  from his head and taunts that Frosty is gone and gone for good but  Crystal proves him wrong, she sculps a corsage out of snow, pla

Frosty Returns.

Frosty Returns. The continuing exploits of the famous snowman as he goes up against a  more powerful force which   threatens all of Christmas.  Twitchell's  invented Summer Wheeze: a spray  can that instantly removes  snow and slush. And Beansborough's getting snow-free. And Holly has to  keep Frosty from melting,  and convince everybody that snow's actually a  good thing. Now this movie was good, the animation was ok for  the time it was made but did it really need to be made? I don't want to  be to critical but I think if it didn't have Jonathan Winters it wouldn't  have done very well, he was the best part of the movie, John Goodman  did a great job but without Winters I don't think it would have worked. I  know some of you mite not like my opinion about it but that is why it's  called an opinion. I really hope you give the movie a chance as I did, it does fit with the other  Frosty The

Frosty The Snowman. A discarded silk top hat becomes the focus of a struggle between a  washed-up stage magician and a group of schoolchildren after it  magically brings a snowman to life. Realizing that newly-living Frosty  will melt in spring unless he takes refuge in a colder climate, Frosty and   a young girl who he befriends stow away on a freight train headed for   the north pole. Little do they know that the magician is following them  and he wants his hat back.  Another Rankin/Bass classic movie beloved  by everyone young and old.

Jack Frost (1979)

Jack Frost was written by Romeo Muller in 1979.  The story is narrated by a  groundhog named Pardon-Me-Pete, voiced by Buddy Hackett, he  has a deal with Jack Frost to extend winter by 6 weeks, letting him sleep that much longer.   Jack Frost ushers in winter every year, but he is upset that he is unable to interact with humans, since they cannot see him. H e falls in love with the young peasant woman Elisa,  who proclaims her love for Jack after he rescues her when Kubla Kraus, an evil  Cossack  king who lives all alone in his castle on Miserable Mountain,  he askes to be made human by father winter who  agrees to make him permanently human as long as he has a house, horse, bag of gold, and a wife by the beginning of spring.  Jack agrees and turns human, assuming the identity of Jack Snip. He runs a tailor shop in the town of January Junction with two friends who also turned human, Snip the snowflake maker and Holly the snow gypsy. Snip and Holly were sent by Father Winter to ensure

Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town.

Image
The Mailman decides to answer some of the most common questions about Santa Claus, and tells us about a small baby named Kris who was left on the doorstep of the Kringle family toymakers. When Kris grew up, he wanted to deliver toys to the children of Sombertown. But its Burgermeister  is too mean to let that happen. And to make things worse, there's an evil wizard named Winter who lives between the Kringles and Sombertown, but Kris manages to melt Winter's heart and gives his access to  deliver his toys.  He also meets a school teacher Miss Jessica who captures his heart and (spoiler alert)  becomes Mrs. Claus wanted by the authorities  they decide to go north and create the north pole, Kris becomes to old to make all those trips to the children he decides to make it just once a year. You will love this movie as much as I do cause it is filled with comedy, action and heart warming moments you will enjoy for years to come.

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.

Image
A book written by  Robert Lewis May in 1939 as an assignment for Chicago-based Montgomery Ward, little did he know it would become the most beloved Christmas story of all time.  The story chronicles the experiences of Rudolph, a youthful reindeer buck who possesses an unusual luminous red nose. Mocked and excluded by his peers because of this trait, Rudolph proves himself one  C hristmas eve  with poor visibility due to inclement weather after  S anta Claus  catches sight of Rudolph's nose and asks Rudolph to lead his sleigh for the evening. Rudolph agrees and is finally favored by his fellow reindeer for his heroism and accomplishment. To this day it is my favorite movie I watch year round and never get tired of. It's one of those movies that creates joy and spirit that no matter how bad things are there is always a light at the end of the tunnel no matter what color it is.

The best and most memorable animated Christmas movies of all time.

What comes to mind when you think about Christmas? For me I think about all the animated specials they showed every year and continue to this day. FYI you can see most of them on  https://www.freeform.com/ around Thanksgiving all the way to December 26. Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass were the creative and legendary team from Rankin/Bass animated entertainment company, they brought us movies like, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, Santa Claus is coming to town, Jack Frost, Santa Baby, Frosty the snowman and many, many, many, more. They were the ones who paved the way for stop-motion animation and made it what it is today. Thanks to them we had a path to follow.
